Loot pass: 942 creature loot tables corrected

Every creature loot table in the game has been compared against TibiaWiki's kill statistics, with tibiopedia.pl as a second source, and corrected. 942 creatures changed, and the expected items per kill rose about 9% overall. Live with the next server save.

  • Loot corrected. 3,829 drop chances set to the recorded rate, 2,495 items added that retail drops and we did not, 931 stack caps raised, and 19 creatures that had no loot table at all – Feroxa, Monk of the Order, Fleshslicer – finally given one.
  • Some creatures drop less. 312 entries were items retail does not drop and are gone, and the five werewolf bosses of The Curse Spreads no longer hand you their entire table on every kill. A first pass removed more than that; 355 entries on 88 creatures turned out to be real drops the wiki had never listed and are already back, Fatal Bug's full table among them.
  • Raids give silver raid tokens. Every raid boss drops one for certain and every creature a raid spawns has a 5% chance. In exchange the old out-of-raid token drops are gone – Zushuka no longer drops one. The Welter's whole table was rebuilt: about six items a kill instead of two.
  • The Ape City, mission 9 works for the whole group. The canopic jars in Deeper Banuta stayed smashed until a restart and locked everyone else out; they now repair themselves and one runner can open the teleporter for the party.
  • NPCs no longer swallow their own replies when you talk fast – which is what made Captain Fearless look broken on the Darashia route. Boat captains also mention the travel cooldown again, and Gorn in Thais buys spare sail passes.
  • Underwater fixes. Drowning damage is on a timer instead of a full hit per step, it wears off when you leave the water, and diving no longer dispels your haste.
  • Tasks and items. Thirteen unfarmable creatures no longer roll as weekly or bounty kill tasks, and a task for one is replaced free of charge. Worn plasma rings and collars can be sold to NPCs again, and store items can go back into the Store Inbox.

The complete changelog, area by area, is on the forum.

Creature audit: 656 monsters corrected

Every monster outside the quest folders has been compared against TibiaWiki, with tibiopedia.pl as a second source where the wiki is silent, and corrected where it differed. 656 creatures changed. The data goes live with the next server save.

  • Check your hunt before you commit to it. 45 creatures now give more experience and 22 give less – Crypt Fiends, Roaming Dreads, Cyclursus and both of those Inferniarchs among them.
  • Some creatures hit much harder, and a few that could not hurt you at all now can: White Lions, the Spellreaper and Hellhunter Inferniarchs, Cinder Wyrmlings and the Pinata Dragon had no working attack. 21 creatures also gained the self-healing retail gives them.
  • Much of it goes the other way. 94 creatures no longer heal themselves, melee damage now starts at 0 as retail does rather than partway up, and everything that hit above retail – Juggernauts, Emerald Tortoises, Undead Cavebears, Medusas – came down.
  • 56 attacks were healing you instead of hurting you, including the Undead Elite Gladiator's entire kit and all four of Oberon's shades. They work now.
  • The pirats' weapons break after two swings, as on retail – and only a hit that actually lands breaks one, which was the fix asked for after the first version.
  • New characters get an easier start: the Newhaven tutorial creatures were several times their retail strength.
  • Empty flasks no longer vanish when you drink a potion while walking.

The complete changelog, creature by creature, is on the forum.

Equipment bonuses fixed, Mamma Longlegs gets her nest

A smaller update than the last one, but it fixes some long-standing equipment bugs. The short version:

  • Equipment bonuses – taking a piece of gear off now always removes what it gave you. Soft boots, rings of healing and the other rings that change form when worn could leave their regeneration running until you logged out, and gear that expired while worn subtracted its skills twice – even from someone only carrying it in a bag.
  • Bounty Talisman – the life leech path now leeches on every hit against your task creature instead of only when you would have leeched anyway, and the loot path finally grants the extra loot it promises. Points spent on it were doing nothing at all until now.
  • Spider Nest – Mamma Longlegs now holds a real web-strewn clearing, and can be killed three times per run of the world change instead of three times ever, so she stays worth hunting. She must be fought inside the nest now – shooting her over the treeline is refused.
  • Nomads – three of the four Kha'labal camps had no tents at all. All four are now proper camps with tents, a campfire, wagons and mats, and the supply chest is part of the camp rather than conjured out of the sand.
  • Charles the Port Hope captain answers travel keywords again – anything you said containing "hi" used to be swallowed by his greeting – and his discounted Secret Library passage can be bought at last.

The complete changelog is on the forum.

The Mage's Tower, nine world changes and a spell accuracy pass

A large update goes live after the server save. The short version:

  • World changes – nine mini world changes now roll every restart: the nomad camps in Kha'labal, the spider nest and Mamma Longlegs west of Venore, the King's runaway poodle, the lumberjack at the Fields of Glory, the swamp illusion at Wyda's hut, the Banuta stampede, rotating poacher caves, Chyllfroest and the Goroma eruption – all at the frequencies the real game uses. The Towncryer finally announces them.
  • The Mage's Tower (Zao) – the world change works end to end at last. Yielothax kills weaken the Raging Mage, 250 of your own buy you a place in the fight, and the portal really collapses when he falls, reopening hours later.
  • Quests – Captain Haba is back on his ship in The Hunt for the Sea Serpent, Eleonore and Raymond Striker answer again in the Shattered Isles, and John is the Bounac John.
  • Spells and runes – the burning spells (Soulfire, Ignite, Envenom) now scale with the caster instead of dealing a flat amount, Intense Healing matches the real game, and all 37 rune conjure spells finally show up in your spell list.
  • Items and food – casks, weights, names and hundreds of descriptions corrected; ten foods that could not be eaten now can, and the newest foods no longer fill you up for two hours.
  • Some things get weaker – monk healing, knight shield bash mitigation, and unpromoted druids lose the Wild Growth Rune spell (promote before the save). Fury gates and Yasir become rarer.
  • Raids – the daily timetable now runs 11:00–00:00, so no more raids at four in the morning.

The complete changelog is on the forum.

Krailos questlines, Goroma eruptions and a big item pass

A large update goes live tomorrow after the server save. The short version:

  • Krailos – all seven ogre and goblin questlines are now playable from start to finish, with the capstone achievement The Call of the Wild for finishing them all.
  • Goroma – the Hellgore volcano erupts again, rolled at 15% each day, filling with Demons, Dragons and the new Dragonlings, so the mount can finally be tamed there. On quiet days the volcano is now much weaker – those creatures had been sitting there permanently by mistake.
  • Items – a large accuracy pass against the real game. Store decoration chests finally open as containers, potion kegs weigh less than half what they did, and a long list of weights, stats and requirements were corrected.
  • Some items get weaker. Seven high-tier wands and rods and the Depth Claws lose +1 magic level, the Helmet of the Deep loses its speed bonus, and the Plain Monk Robe loses its imbuement slot – any imbuement in one will be lost, so move it before the save.
  • Raids – fixed the daily timetable that was stopping raids from firing.

The complete changelog is on the forum.
